ClassGraphic
In honor of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, this class series will cover the social, economic and environmental actions we each can take on our journey toward more sustainable living. Topics will include an exploration of how we got to where we are, why making this change is more important than ever, how to transform an urban/suburban space for maximum energy efficiency and food production, the role of community allies and community assets in the One Earth transformation, examining where One Earth concepts are in action at various Northwest permaculture sites, and how pushing back on cars is crucial to the One Earth transformation. Finally, the class series will conclude with a site visit to Instructor Jan's home on Saturday, May 16--a living example of the concepts covered in class. See individual class descriptions for detailed information on each session's subject matter. Take the One Earth Complete Series, or take only the individual One Earth classes that interest you (ala carte).
