While Lane Community College in Cottage Grove cannot accept all proposals, the aim is to provide a selection of high-interest classes taught by experienced instructors skilled in adult education. All proposals will be reviewed by the program coordinator, and you will be contacted if the proposal meets our current needs. You will be asked to provide additional class details and a meeting with the program coordinator will be scheduled. 

Qualifications 

Instructors must have a passion for their topic and either training or extensive experience with the subject matter. Candidates should be well organized and able to develop a course outline, create instructional material, and understand teaching methods for adults with different levels of skills and abilities. 

Instructor Types

Independent Contractor: Hired to instruct a course or courses on a term-by-term basis. Formal hiring paperwork must be completed including a resume and proof of qualifications.

Vendor: Business or individual agreeing to provide instruction of a specific course or courses. Financial agreement and class details are agreed to before the class is offered. An invoice per the financial agreement is necessary for payment.

Volunteer: Instructors who do not require payment for their time and efforts. Volunteers must complete a volunteer agreement, submit qualifications, and provide a class syllabus prior to the first class.
