Standard Drop/Refund Policy for Lane Community College Non-Credit Classes

Refund policy details may vary depending on the department offering the course, if the course is offered through a partnership agreement, or based on unique aspects of the course itself. It is your responsibility to understand the refund policy associated with your class which will be provided during registration. Please read the policy for your class prior to completing registration. 

Drops
You may drop a class at any time by emailing ceinfo@lanecc.edu, however, to receive a refund you must submit a request per the policy stated below. 

Refunds
It is your responsibility to know the refund deadline.
 

Classes FOUR weeks or longer, you must submit a request no later than Sunday, 11:59 pm after the first class start date to be eligible for a refund. 

Classes THREE weeks and shorter, you must request a refund by 11:59 pm three business days prior to the start date to be eligible for a refund. 

In standard situations a refund will be issued to the credit card you used for the initial transactions, when necessary a refund check will be mailed to the address associated with your profile. 

Full refunds are NOT given after the refund deadline except in rare circumstances. Consideration of extenuating circumstances will be given and, if deemed appropriate, a partial refund or credit voucher may be offered.

Student Deadline to Drop a Class with a Refund

• For full-term classes, the last day to drop a class with a refund is 11:59 pm on Monday of the second week of the term.

Student Deadline to Drop a Class without a Refund

• For full-term classes, the last day to drop a class without a refund is 11:59 pm on Friday of the eighth week of the term.
• Inform the instructor and email hphpea-noncredit@lanecc.edu

Cancellation of Classes

Classes are canceled usually 3 working days before the first day of class if it has not met minimum enrollment. You will be notified by email and receive an automatic refund.
