Experimental Printmaking is for adventurous artists who have limited or no experience in printmaking. Students will create original prints as they explore experimental and/or alternative processes in printmaking. Students will be taught a variety alternative techniques including: collagraph, monotype, cyanotype, printing from botanicals, drypoint on unconventional substrates, chine colle, embossing and blind embossing, printmaking in installation art. In addition, the aesthetics and history of printmaking will also be covered as well as perceptual skills, compositional development, and basic thematic awareness. Our non-toxic studio operates under the safest and most sustainable printmaking practices available
Buidling 10 is on the far east side of campus, so we recommend using LOT M for parking for this class, and entering the campus on Schafer Drive.
