Are you a dental assistant, sterilization technician, or office staff wanting to become radiology certified in the State of Oregon? This course meets the criterion adopted by the Oregon Board of Dentistry. The course consists of online course work through Lane Community College and 15 hours of hands on Radiology training by a certified radiology instructor. At the completion of the course, you will be able to demonstrate competency in the safe use of x-ray equipment and procedures. Successful completion will also meet the necessary criteria to take Oregon’s Radiologic Proficiency Examination (RHS Exam) administered by the Dental Assisting National Board. To complete this course, you need to provide three (3) patients. Textbook purchase required: less than $100 (ordered separately online) RHS Exam fee: $250 (paid separately through the Dental Assisting National Board).
The Instructor, Cris Houser RDH, BSDH has been a registered dental hygienist in the State of Oregon for over 28 years. She has been an instructor for 10 years and currently teaches clinical dental hygiene and radiology to dental hygiene students. She is a Certified Radiology instructor with the State of Oregon.
